Shri Vijay Goel, (DIN: 11047246) has appointed as Director of BRBCL on 13th August 2025. He is a distinguished leader in the Indian power sector and also serving as the Regional Executive Director (Eastern Region-1), NTPC Ltd, parent Company of BRBCL.

He is a graduate in Electronics & Communication Engineering from GB Pant University.

Shri Goel has over 36 years of extensive experience in coal, gas, and solar power projects, holding key leadership roles across Operations & Maintenance, Engineering, Commercial, Fuel Management, and Project Development at NTPC. He has led critical functions including Project Monitoring, Erection & Commissioning, and Safety, where he introduced AI and digital tools to enhance safety culture.

As Head of New Projects, he oversaw large-scale project development from concept to approval. He has successfully led NTPC sites at Kawas, Barh, and Solapur, driving operational excellence and fast-tracking commissioning. As CEO of RGPPL, his strategic interventions yielded significant commercial gains.

At the national level, he has served as a Board Member of the National Safety Council, Expert Committee Member at AICTE, and Board of Studies Member at NSUT. He was commended by NTPC’s CMD for setting up the Project Monitoring Center.

Currently, he oversees NTPC’s operations in Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand (11,610 MW installed; 2,400 MW under construction) and serves as Director on the Board of BRBCL, a JV with Indian Railways.
